Good move Brita Masalethulini

EDITOR — I express my support for former Miss Malaika, Brita Masalethulini, for coming out in the open about the abuse by her ex.

It takes a lot of courage for a woman to do that especially when the ex is denying abusing Brita and shifting the blame on her.

You did well Brita and you did it the right way by lawfully approaching the courts for protection.

It is within your rights to do that and you have set a good precedence for many women who might be silently suffering abuse at the hands of their partners.

You also expressed genuine love for your ex at the time which is a very admirable thing to do and I think he might now be realising what he has lost.

We are not all perfect as humans as we all have our flaws but I hope things work out well for you.
