Sulu, Soul Jah Love clash

HARARE -  Rising dancehall singer Soul Jah Love and dendera musician Suluman Chimbetu will share the stage tonight at Dandaro Inn at the Harare Showgrounds.

MicInity returns home

Reggae star Mike “Mic Inity” Madamombe will make a sentimental return to the Book Café tomorrow night.

The Book Café stage provided a fitting stage for the Marondera-born arstiste to grow into an internationally-acclaimed star through his weekly “Weddy Weddy Wednesday” concerts.

Mic Inity is currently working on a new act and new songs that he hopes will entrench his position as Zimbabwe’s leading reggae musician.

Saturday’s show will come in the midst of the reggae singer’s on-going countrywide tours which have so far taken him to Masvingo, Mutare and Marondera.

DJ clash at Private Lounge

Several leading DJs, who include DJ Storm, DJ Blaze, DJ Ironic, DJ Mzoe and DJ Candyman, will clash at the Private Lounge tomorrow.

Clarks at Super Label

Harare’s leading dance groups which specialise in Clarks will clash at the Super Label tomorrow.

The show will feature Street Madness, Desert Fox, Ghetto Cripps, Mud Fresh, Badd Youth, Shooting Vibes, Real Flexx, Team Invasion and the guest artiste is Magical.

Fun galore at the Book Cafe

The weekend entertainment programme will begin tonight with a mbira show featuring mbira giants Mawungira eNharira which is led by Gwenyambira Nyamasvisva. The mbira concert will take place on the garden stage.

But the main highlight of tonight’s programme could turn out to be the “Kumabhebhi Masquerade Concert” that will feature songbirds Cindy Munyavi and Clare Nyakujara. The two musicians will be supported by jazz musician and ZiFM DJ Patience Musa.

The same venue will host the House of Hunger Poetry Slam tomorrow afternoon. The event is held in honour of late Zimbabwean writers Dambudzo Merechera, Julius Chingono and Olly Maruma.

The event, the longest running poetry platform in Zimbabwe, will be celebrating the event’s 9th Anniversary.

After the poetry event, the Book Café will host songstress Pearl Natasha who will introduce her new band and set.

Mhere to bless Norton

Gospel artistes Mathias Mhere and Gift Mahlupeka will be the main attractions at the AFM Norton Assembly Family Fun day tomorrow.

The two musicians will be supported by several upcoming gospel artistes including Xtreme Afrique.

Bev back in Harare

Bev, who has just returned from Gokwe, will begin her weekend programme tonight at Jongwe Corner in Harare’s Hatfield area before dating Palace in Glen Norah.

Tomorrow, the controversial dancer will perform at Miami Night Club in Sunningdale in the capital. She will wind up her weekend programme at Shambare Bar in Mbare.
