Soul Jah Love, Bounty Lisa UK-bound

HARARE - Controversial Zimdancehall couple, Soul Jah Love and Bounty Lisa, will be  joining South Africa’s Dr Malinga and Uhuru on a United Kingdom (UK) tour.

The tour will also comprise Kwekwe-based DJ Stavo and is scheduled for September 12 and 13.

The tour will take them to Dunstable and Leeds.

While the couple were unreachable for comment, DJ Stavo’s manager Prince Dambanevana said it is a big deal for the Kwekwe-born  and bred DJ.

“It means a lot for him as he is having to represent Zimbabwe at international level and sharing the stage with big South African artists like Uhuru,” Dambanevana said.  “It is a great achievement, an honour to be recognised among the best.

“By showcasing his talent on such a big event he will create a much bigger fan base through this show since he is only aiming for greater heights and to be one of Zimbabwean DJs to be recognised world-wide.

“On the selection of artistes, I am not too sure how the organisers came up with that but I’m sure it was a case of  just having the dancehall  and house artistes under one roof on the tour.”

The concert is being held by Base Management, TEP Link and Diaspora Management.

DJ Stavo has worked with South African artistes before who include Mandoza on the song Mnandi (So Good) off his fifth album and with Shota on Ingoma.
