ZPC continue to shine

BULAWAYO - Luckmore Makura scored a well-taken free-kick in the second to propel ZPC Kariba to a win over Chicken Inn and extend the league debutants’ unbeaten run to 16 games.

Substitute Makura curled home from 25 years after Limited Chikafa was fouled.

ZPC, the only undefeated team in the Castle Premiership, completed a double of Bulawayo side Chicken Inn, who they also beat in the reverse fixture in Harare.

The match was a close contest with few chances being created.

In the last five minutes, Chicken Inn camped in the visitors’ and almost equalised, but ZPC defended gallantly.

ZPC have surprised many with their results this season for a team whose participation in the league hung in the balance at the beginning due to lack of commitment from the Zimbabwe Power Company to bankroll the team.

ZPC later on committed to the team.

They are coached by former CAPS United assistant coach Saul Chaminuka.
