Buffaloes beat Chiredzi

MUTARE - Buffaloes overcame a determined Chiredzi FC through a Jacob Muzokomba penalty in an dull Castle Premiership match at Sakubva Stadium yesterday.

Muzokomba dispatched the penalty in the 69th minute after a Mike Nyamukasa shot at goal was adjudged to have been handled by the visitors.

Watungwa Watungwa assistant coach Timothy “Sicho” Masachi summed the dullness of the encounter by saying: "What is important is we won."

His opposite Dzingai Murinye felt poor officiating by Brighton Chimene spoiled an otherwise good contest.

"The result was very unfair from our point of view... the match official just decided to give Buffaloes unfair advantage. Our football will not develop with this kind of officiating," Chimene said.
