Bindura back to winning ways

HARARE - World Navi Northern Region Soccer League Division One log leaders

Bindura United bounced back to winning ways with a 1-0 home victory over Blue Swallows to get their promotion campaign back on track.

The weekend win was a welcome result to John Wilo’s charges after they lost to seasoned campaigners DStv Rangers by a similar score line in their previous fixture.

Bindura now top the log standings with 31 points three points ahead of second placed Mushowani.

Bindura have had a positive start to the new season winning 10 games, drawing one and losing two games from 13 games played so far.

Mushowani’s revival continued with a 1-0 away victory over Twalumba who are fast losing sight of the log leaders.

Mushowani had a dream start to the new season, winning seven games and drawing one in their opening eight matches but have been blowing hot and cold in recent weeks.

Former Premiership side Gunners maintained pressure on the leading pack after walloping Karoi United 3-0.

Gunners are on third position with 28 points, same points with second placed Mushowani but Mushowani boost of superior goal difference.

Seasoned campaigners DStv Rangers’s revival was cut shot after suffering a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of new comers Ngezi Platinum.

Results: Gunners 3 Karoi 0, Royal Classic 0 ZRP Morris 2, Seven Flames 0 Flame Lily 0, Twalumba 0 Mushowani 1, Bindura 1 Blue Swallows 0, Ngezi Platinum 1 Dstv Rangers 0, DC Academy 1 Commando 1, Black Mambas 3 Lake Harvest 1.
