Zim Hockey Schools teams named for Asia tour

HARARE - The Zimbabwe Schools Hockey Association successfully held trials at Khumalo hockey stadium in Bulawayo to select the Under-19 boys team to travel to Singapore and Malaysia in August.

The Under-19s will join the Under-17 team, which has already started their preparations.

The teams will play the Singapore Under-18 team and are also set to clash with Melaka High School in Malaysia.


Under-19s: Moses Kapanga, Happious Njitimani (South Eastern College), Takundwa Ndlovu, Dominic Ashley, Newton Mashanyare (Falcon), Johnson Mhlanga, Hannes Viljeon (Lomagundi), Aaron Sithole, Philip Machaya, Misheck Ruzvizhingi (Hippo Valley), Peter Trustham (Hellenic), Bryan Lowe, Daniel Barnes (Peterhouse), Michael Rossi, Stefano Bellini-Martin (St John’s College), Forbes Motsi (Prince Edward), Simbarashe Mudzova (Eaglesvale), Graydon Thorton (St George’s).

Coach: Neil Milner, Manager: Fidelis Majuba.

Under-17s: Pemberai Mafi, Mathew Connolly, Ross Oatley, Tatenda Kanyangarara (Falcon), Stephen Hunt, Arnold Mlambo, Kudzai Mutungi, Solomon Charumah, Vhuyani Dhlomo (Lomagundi), Scott Nethersole, Alexander Makuvise , Panashe Sanyatwe, Keith Bruce (Peterhouse), Ryan Murray (St Johns), Raymond Healy (St Georges), Tariro Mbedzi (Hippo Valley), Charles Makombe (Eaglesvale).
