Bosso wary of Triangle threat

HARARE - Highlanders coach Kelvin Kaindu revealed he is wary of the threat posed by Triangle and will take a cautious approach when the two teams clash in a Castle Premiership match at Gibbo on Sunday.

Kaindu acknowledged that the Lowveld side command respect by virtue of their status in the Premier League thus they are not leaving anything to chance.

The Bulawayo giants drew 1-1 with Platinum and will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the log. Bosso are currently on 20 points from the first ten matches of the season.

And while it is Bosso who appear to have the edge and are odds on favourites to win Sunday’s tie, Kaindu was not getting carried away.

“They are a good team and have some very dangerous players who can hurt the opposition,” Kaindu told Daily News.

“I have respect for them and I expect them to give us a tough challenge. Despite being at the bottom, I don’t think it reflects how the team plays.

“I have watched some of their matches and they are a good side. It’s a game we need to approach with caution. We need to adopt the right attitude otherwise we will be surprised.

“So I think the better prepared team will win the game and I hope it’s us because our preparations have been okay.”

Kaindu, however, expressed concern that the continued growing list of absent players due a variety of reasons was cause for concern for Bosso.

Rahman Kutsanzira is the headline absentee and joins the likes of Mthulisi Maphosa and Peter Moyo who continues to be sidelined by different ailments.

On-loan winger Kuda Mahachi has reportedly joined his parent club Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa while Milto Ncube is believed to be on his way to Ajax Cape Town.

Triangle are in desperate need of maximum points. Biggie Zuze’s men currently sit on third from bottom with eight points. They have won two matches, drawn two and lost six.
