Zesa, we need transparency

EDITOR — While I understand the need for power authorities to load shed as efficiently as possible, I feel in other places like Mufakose it is no-longer mere load-shedding but total blackout.

Power cuts should be short-lived and shared at least equally across all residential areas as possibly as can be done.

In some residential areas, load shedding happens occasionally yet some of us live virtually in darkness.

Can Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) at least publish a power-loading schedule so as not to inconvenience citizens as well as for transparency’s sake.

I urge ZETDC to take action on the power situation here in Mufakose

There is no transparency in all that ZESA does. I remember they once promised to write off $160.00 from our bills but up to now it hasn't been done on mine. I need an explanation too.

At some point i checked with them and was told that they were doing it gradually. Can you honestly write off bills gradually. When you increase tarriffs why dont you do it gradually as well.
