Govt must deal with corruption

EDITOR — On a daily basis, one reads stories about the level of corruption that is happening in our country.

Daily, you read about some people swindling various organisations and in some institutions people demand bribes for such things as college places, birth certificates, passports, drivers’ licences among many others.

I would like to urge the government to try and address the issue of corruption in this country which is already out of hand.

I know that most people  would like to obtain documents without having to go the corruption route but just because it has become the norm that nothing seems to be done straight in this country, it seems one does not to achieve anything by being honest.

The government must do something so that our country remains respected.

I know corruption is rampant in Africa, but this evil can be curtailed if we all work together.

Even the president was saying that we are now worse than Nigeria, but I think he is overwhelmed by the corruption and will have to let someone else deal with it when he is retired!!!!
