Rose picks squad to face Zambia

HARARE - Zimbabwe women national team coach Rosemary Mugadza has named a 25-member squad to face Zambia in African Women Qualifier match next weekend at Rufaro Stadium.

Mugadza kept faith in team that beat Botswana in the previous qualifier, retaining veteran players such as Felistas Muzongondi, Chido Dzingirai, Rutendo Makore and Ruvimbo Mutyavaviri.

The winner will qualify for the women’s version of Afcon in Windhoek, Namibia, later this year.

The Mighty Warriors are already in camp.

Squad: Chido Dzingirai, Erina Jeke, Marjory Nyaumwe, Ruvimbo Mutyavaviri, Emmaculate Msipa, Melody Musasa, Felistas Muzongondi, Lindiwe Magwede, Danai Bhobho, Rutendo Makore, Patience Mujuru, Kudakwashe Basopo, Talent Mandaza, Rudo Neshamba, Rhoda Jongondi, Rejoice Kapfumvuti, Nobuhle Majika, Pamela Bvochora, Pretty Mathazi, Nokuthula Ndlovu, Priscah Khumalo, Deliwe Makaha, Berita Kabwe, Mavis Chirandu, Kudzanayi Chiparausha.
