Triangle, Chicken Inn share points

CHIREDZI - Triangle and Chicken Inn drew one-all at Gibbo yesterday in the Castle Premiership, one of three stalemates out of yesterday’s four matches.

Visitors Chicken Inn drew first blood in the first half through striker Tendai Mukambi while the hosts responded through goalkeeper Ronald Mudimu’s penalty in the second half.

Triangle could have surged ahead earlier but Chicken Inn goalkeeper Liberty Chirava saved Tineyi Chitora’s effort.

The host eventually took the lead after Mukambi connected home George Majika’s fine pass.

Moses Jackson handled in the box in the second half and Chicken Inn’s Mudimu took the responsibility this time around scoring from the spot.

The match was marred by controversy late in the second half after referee Jimmy Makwanda had awarded Triangle a goal which had gone through on the net side. The decision was later reversed after consultations with his assistant.
