Tsholotsho lead Southern Region race

BULAWAYO - Lizwe Sweswe’s Tsholotsho are perched on top of the Southern Region Division One log after three weeks of action in the 2014 season.

Iziqholo Zezhwane are tied on seven points with second-placed Technosphere and third-placed Plumtree Chiefs but sit at the summit courtesy of a superior goal difference.

Tsholotsho dismissed newcomers Trumus 2-0 at home over the Easter holidays with their goals coming from Ocean “Shingo” Ncube and former Zimbabwe Saints and Chicken Inn linkman Mlamuli Phakathi.

Last season’s champions Chiefs beat fallen giants Zimbabwe Saints 1-0 at Raylton with their solitary goal coming from experienced former Quelaton striker Tedius Mugumanya.
