Makandiwa unveils miracle anointing oil

HARARE - Emmanuel Makandiwa has launched miracle-working anointing oil to prepare his United Family International Church (UFIC) members for the glorious economic era that he predicted for Zimbabwe on Saturday.

The celebrity preacher told the multitudes that turned up at the Glamis Arena in Harare for the “Resurrection Service” on Sunday that God had finally given him the green light to launch the “glorious oil” after waiting for four years.

Makandiwa earlier prophesied at the National Sports Stadium during a prayer session dubbed “Judgement Night 2” that Zimbabwe was poised for massive economic growth that will significantly change the lives of many.

He explained during the “resurrection service” that he wanted his congregants to be the first beneficiaries of the economic boom.

The popular prophet said the oil would bring glory that is supposed to accompany the Easter resurrection of Jesus Christ to his followers.

Prophet Makandiwa prays for one of the Judgement Night participants.

He, however, did not say if the oil would be sold, but urged congregants to be more prayerful before getting the anointing oil which he said was so powerful that it would deal with all economic problems bedevilling the society as well as render “all other oils given elsewhere useless.”

“This one will cause a lot of noise,” Makandiwa said.

“It will cause chaos. You will be the first to enjoy the fruits of the glory that is coming. Nobody will outrun you and by the time they arrive (for the economic benefits), you will be enjoying already.

“I could not have launched it last night because it would have benefitted outsiders when the children of God have not.”

The charismatic preacher said the anointing oil was a fulfilment of a vision that he saw some four years ago which was in the form of a flourishing field of green crops.

“It was very good and I wanted to see it happen the following day but when I wanted to harvest, God told me it was not mature,” he said.

“Thank God, recently, he said now the time is ripe, the vision has matured,” he said before warning cameramen not to zoom their lenses on the bottles of the anointing oil.

Makandiwa said unlike other oils, his could not be counterfeited as it had God’s presence.

In the early hours of Sunday morning at the National Sports Stadium, Makandiwa had predicted that the country’s ailing industries would rebound, with the capital city, Harare, providing 24-hour shopping services.

The popular preacher  went on to personally collect money for Sunday offering claiming that contrary to popular belief that church leaders were fleecing ordinary people by making them give monitory gifts after church service, God had told him that there was nothing wrong and that he should go ahead and collect.

He ordered congregants to queue up as they dropped their offerings in front of him.

“I will be the last to leave this place so I want you to show the world that you can part with everything that you have for God. Starting with foreigners, you will drop your gift on the altar, with the locals following,” Makandiwa directed his followers.

His much-hyped Judgement Night 2 also created a furore among some sections of the Christian community who said his prophecies were “a misrepresentation of Biblical facts”.

This followed his declaration that the night of April 19 was the “Judgement Night”.

He alleged that the night would be a moment of glory for his flock, but would be characterised by fearfulness and wailing for their enemies, who he said would be cast into a bottomless pit.

i think your report has a negative inclination. why not report things as they are and leave it to your readers to judge?

Anesu - 22 April 2014

Just to point out that the correct spelling is JUDGMENT not JUDGEMENT. Just my St Augustine's education imposing itself

C Tambo - 22 April 2014

Thank you Tambo for pointing out the spelling error, I had also noticed it but decided to keep it to myself. Also hail from Tsambe...

Itai - 22 April 2014

"I could not have launched it last night because it would have benefitted outsiders when the children of God have not.” ....... Just wondering if he refused to take collection/gifts from the so called outsiders.

sender - 22 April 2014

@C Tambo Well, it looks your spoon-fed St Augustine's education was woefully inadequate. Both Judgement and judgment are correct. I think you need to demand a partial fee refund to compensate for further embarrassment when that famed education kicks in again.

Ziv - 22 April 2014

Guys make sure you report what is true.. Prophet didnt say other oils given elsewhere will be useless. He said its not like any other oil we have had in UFIC.....he didnt render other oils being given by other Man of God useless.

stix - 22 April 2014

@getitright, do you really think the oil will be free?

Truth Seeker-Time is Short - 22 April 2014

Is it in the oil or in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour?! The power, that is?! I have always believed and taught (and will always) that salvation and the power thereof for this present life and hereafter is in Christ Jesus. That is what the Word of God says. Secondly I would love to see a stress on the life after this present life. The Holy Bible says: Col 3:2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. This is where I see the error in today's teachings. The teachings are more of how one can live a life of riches using God's Word, not how one can live a life of praising God in Christ resulting in the best life today and in the future. It is not just about this world!!!

simon - 22 April 2014

Those who want will get this oil. makandiwa is not forcing anyone. if u do not believe in it then don't get the oil and please shut up. Va Mugabe vakatipa freedom of worship and there's nothing wrong with what the prophet is doing. Dai pane chakaipa mapurisa akatovasunga kare. Pamberi na Makandiwa!!!!!

I respected Makandiwa until the day he said Kusi Boateng was his father. Now he has gone to oil why? He said the country is poised for an economic boom so now he will say only to those who take the oil and then it will be sold for a 100 usd.

What the Prophet was preaching about was there is need for a lot of prayers, reading of the Word and the annointing Oil. The Prophet emphasised that the oil without the Word can not work. Comments based on a newspaper article that is biased towards "Making Headline News" will not change the fact that Prophet Makandiwa is chosen by God, to preach the Word. Prophet Makandiwa is unlike newspaper preachers or Internet Preachers who do not have a following. Those who think, they have a better word to that preached by Prophet Makandiwa should hold crusades and preach to people so that they repent. Internet preachers and newspapers critics should wait for more miracles and more power and then will criticise. The Prophet will be leading, whilst they will always be responding.

So critics, just wait for your time to buy newspapers and then criticise. Its now ZIMBABWE for JESUS, through Prophet Makandiwa`s preachings.

This Makandiwa fellow is probably the greatest conman of all time Zimbabweans have ever seen. Some of our friends will realize the con maybe after 5 years. By then Makandiwa would have relocated to Dubai to enjoy his ill-gotten wealth!

Mati Maonei - 22 April 2014

I dont want to say much makandiwa must very careful with is oil for those who have watched the movie called the son of god .God was so mad when he discovered a lot of dealings were taking place including these oils . So makadiwa just want to make money

kagaba - 22 April 2014

True to his word he will collect the money from foreigners but does not want them to prosper. He Made $3.5M on the judgment night 2. The man of God does not stile but ask people to pay and call this cunning. He is a businessman who knows how to collect untaxable money. ZIMRA haisvike apa. Eyes will be opened when there is nothing to see mari yamakwa.

The report is rather negative. You do not render what has been done by other prphets as useless. What speciality is there that differs him with other prophets. Its not the oil or the water that works. It is the prayer and the faith you have which is powerful.I tend to disagree when it is mentioned that the other water will be useless. We all pray from one God but faith and accepting that God exists is the only salvation.

Tsambe kudiikowo - 22 April 2014

Why take offerings if he can make people rich. I just wonder how this thing works. I would rather pray for myself than use these dubious oils and ointments. Though I learnt at Murewa High (and not Tsambe or St. Ignatius) I do hope my point is direct.

THIS IS THE SAME OIL SOLD BY SATANIST CULTS IN GHANA AND NIGERIA AND OTHER WEST AFRICAN COUNTRIES. EMMANUEL (MANUWERE) MAKANDIWA IS A SINISTER BLACK MAGIC CONMAN?

"OOOH Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth save our dear nation Zimbabwe, protect us from all kinds of evil. AMEN" Can all God fearing citizens of this beautiful country say this prayer for the rest of the week.

To C. Tambo: Please note that both Judgment and judgement are both correct spellings, the former being American and the latter, English; just like 'enquiries' and 'inquiries' St. Augustinea's vs Empandeni ----eh! Who wins?

At Judgement Night 1 in 2013 people we promised gold and at Judgement Night 2 in 2014 people have been promised economic revival where shops will open 24 hours a day and they have got a special oil and now we await Judgement night 3 hopefully in 2015 and so on there will be judgments nights after each year until no body knows. When you see your church or your pastor not attracting controversies, criticisms and attacks from left, right and center, then you know that you are in the wrong church. If Jesus was criticised for healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons so why do we think that Makandiwa is going to do outstanding miracles without criticisms? The saddest part is that most of the criticism comes from fellow christians,
