Byo woman up for sexually abusing minor

BULAWAYO - A 23-year-old woman who raped her seven-year-old neighbour in 2009 has appeared in court.

Gugulethu Ncube who was 18 at the time she committed the crime, appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Mark Dzira and was remanded out of custody to March 14.

The court heard that on a date which the young boy could not remember, Ncube invited the boy who was playing with his friends to her house so that she could give him a pencil and an apple.

When he got to the house, the accused reportedly ordered him to undress but the boy refused saying he was scared his grandmother would beat him.

Ncube allegedly threatened to beat him and out of fear the boy complied.

She then stripped naked before forcing the boy to be intimate with her.

After the incident, Ncube reportedly ordered the boy to put on his clothes and go home but threatened to beat him up if he told anyone about the incident.

The case was revealed when a teacher interviewed they boy after she witnessed him fondling his male organ in front of other pupils at school.

The teacher reported the case to the headmaster who called the boy’s grandmother prompting the seven-year old to recount what happened.

The matter was reported to the police leading to Ncube’s arrest.
