Independent Schools end Zim tour unbeaten

HARARE - England Independent Schools Under-18 turned  on the power in the second half to  force a dramatic comeback from behind 13-17 victory against the President XV side yesterday to end their tour of Zimbabwe unbeaten.

The first half was a tightly contested affair as both teams went for the breather tied at nil nil.

The match came to life in the second period when the host Jabulani Mutukwa slotted home two quick penalties.

Independent Schools quickly cut the lead to just one point with a try from Will Porter.

The hosts then stretch their lead through a try by Thabani Mujeni that was converted Mutukwa to bring the scores to 13-5 in favour of the home side.

Independent Schools replied immediately through their towering forward Miles Morhouse and killed the game through a try of pure individual brilliance by Will Bailey.

The English schoolboys began their tour with flawless 76-0 victory over Mbare Academy on Monday.

They followed that victory with another 26-6 win over Prince Edward School on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the Lambs were in a similar ruthless form as they outclassed the Goshwaks 81-15 to notch up their third victory.
