Magaya bringing TB Joshua to Zim

HARARE - Renowned Nigerian preacher Termitope Balogun Joshua (TB Joshua) is heading to Zimbabwe for the first time, at least if he accepts an invitation from leader of the Prophetic Healing Deliverance Ministries (PHD) Walter Magaya.

Oscar Pambuka, Magaya’s spokesperson, confirmed to the Daily News yesterday that his boss had invited TB Joshua to Zimbabwe.

“As you know TB Joshua is Magaya’s spiritual father,” Pambuka said. “So he invited him to visit Zimbabwe sometime in May.”

He said Magaya is presently in Nigeria to try and persuade TB Joshua to come to Zimbabwe.

“He left yesterday (Sunday evening) for Nigeria. However, he is set to meet him on Thursday and obviously they will discuss the invitation. We expect Prophet TB Joshua to give him an answer by then but we are confident that he will accept since he is the spiritual father.

“Prophet Magaya will be back in the country on Friday and it is then that we will have a definite answer about TB Joshua coming here.”

Pambuka said the Nigerian trip was meant for Magaya to consult with his “spiritual father.”

“He usually goes to get briefings from TB Joshua,” Pambuka said. “Prophet Magaya will also use the trip to consult on the ministry.”

Magaya’s wife, “Mother Tendai”, Pambuka said, will remain behind in Nigeria to undergo prophetess training.

“Magaya’s wife will be in Nigeria for the next two months where she will be taught to become a prophetess,” Pambuka said.

A PHD member told the Daily News that Magaya had told congregants during the Sunday service that TB Joshua would be visiting Zimbabwe.

“He told us that he is leaving for Nigeria at midnight after this (Sunday) service,” said parishioner Nomsa Ndlovu.

“One of the reasons he said he was going there was that he wanted TB Joshua to come for our international concert that is likely to happen in May.

“Magaya said TB Joshua would be free and as such he had confidence that he would grace our international concert.

“He told us that the concert was going to be very big and would be attended by thousands, so he said he was looking around for a farm just near the city where we could just temporarily prepare and conduct the event. He said we could not go to the National Sports Stadium because it was too small.”

Last year, it was speculated that the famous Nigerian prophet was heading towards Zimbabwe after he indicated that he would soon visit a troubled African country, but ran into problems with acquiring his visa.

TB Joshua is renowned for making spot-on prophecies.

The Nigerian prophet foretold the death of Michael Jackson. He also prophesied the demise of former

Malawian president Bingu wa Mutharika.

The popular preacher’s stock has been rising in Zimbabwe and abroad after his February 2012 prediction that an old African leader would die within months, and 60 days later, Malawi’s President Bingu wa Mutharika, 78, died of heart failure.

Walter Magaya is riding on the popularity of Temitope Balogun Joshua to make a name ( and more money) for himself. It's the first time I'm hearing that one (Magaya's wife) can be taught to be a prophet. The things that the love of money can do!

My senses tell me there is some kind of war between Gospel enterpreuners to get more congregants. Some are telling us of Judgement Day and some of 'Spiritual Fathers'. AFM senior members in Bulawayo are in an open fight over the church's assets. Just last week we read that three members of the Apostolic sect murdered a fellow member because he was becoming more popular. Let us go back to Anglican, Roman Catholic, Methodist and shun these fly by night prophets and pastors.

"Mother Tendai" being taught to be a "prophetess", what blasphemy!!! God's prophets do not need to be taught by anyone to be prophets, He chooses his prophets Himself. Woe unto those who believe in these fake and false prophets of doom. Hard core Christianity is not about which church you go to, it's about one being a die hard Christian, and shunning the devil and his prophets of doom.

chiporofita hachidzidziswe. Never before in the bible did we see a prophet sending his wife to be trained to be a prophetess somewhere. this is purely for commercial use.

I think Oscar should be removed form being the PHD spokesperson because he is not mature in the things of the Lord. How can he give people such funny unauthenticated details of a meeting between father and son iye kwaasina kukokwawo. Prophets are not taught honestly ! Oscar asanakidzwe nekubuda mumapepa . he should talk less mhani.

cde - 8 April 2014

i agree with you mwana wa prophet, Oscar is talking too much and his talk is not mature, he seems to be spiritually lost, learn to chose your words as a spoke person, don't make the church sound like its all about being trained how to get following and fame instead of winning souls to God, TB Joshua is known to be a mentor, he himself has no spiritual father hence he is hated by many so called men of God, his father is God Himself so his message is never about spiritual fathering many people no longer know that God is the spiritual father. Listen to the Wisemen then you will know that TB Joshua never takes glory for himself rather he gives it all back to God, he is so humble he doesn't want to be esteemed as a high spiritual being but rather a SERVANT of GOD. I pray God opens a way for him to come to his country and teach us humility and the fear of God.

Oscar is immature for the job of being spokesperson for such a big church like PHD. Remember he is working for zbc where they are taught to lie, utter hate speech and carefree reporting all for keeping Zanu in power. So he is trying to bring in arrogance in this church, remember how he reported Bev"s case and he is now at it again that mother Tendai has gone for prophetess training.....blah blah. I strongly wonder if Oscah passed a Journalism exam. Haasi maborder Gezi akangonhongwa here awa.

I agree that a prophet needs training. In this day and time training is important. You have to learn to be someone who holds God's favour. Not that you are being tought how to have the spirit but how to live with the spirit. Remember you are of human flesh but housing the glory of the lord. You need morals how to control the power of the lord when it is in you and how to impart and tell your vision. Don't you think if God told you the man you are about to pray for will die soon after leaving church you need training on how you handle such shocking message. But glory be to God because we are all mortals and judge not!!!!!!

@Jakuchi. Please read your Bible. Do not blindly follow dubious characters masquerading as prophets. The way you are writing shows that you rarely read the Bible. Always prepare yourself for the coming of Christ.

Solo - 8 April 2014

@bachido. Can you tell me how Elisha was taught to be a prophet? I remember of the 2 praying to God to have a double portion of the other's gifts. It's actually God who gives prophetic powers. Prophecy is not taught like kungfu!

Slizer Moyo - 8 April 2014

Those of us who have followed TB Joshua for years know that all this is being made up for PHD popularity because TB Joshua will not involve himself in this rubbish. It is also very clear that Daily News caught on the story to sell their paper because they know the name TB Joshua is a very big brand.

Wezhira - 8 April 2014

I think she is a prophetess by vetue of her being the spouse of a prophet. then the training is to equip her for that role. But we have bible schools where pastors can be trained.

Wamba - 8 April 2014

as far as i know TB Joshua, he does not teach people how to prophecy. Prophetic gift comes from God. He acknowledges one's area and helps you know your area, but does not give you a gift or initiate you. uuuuh lets wait and see, since oscar you have published this issue in such a stupid and messy manner . i am sure, you will republish it soon in a correct manner. TB Joshua is a major prophet, the truth will be out soon.

think - 8 April 2014

Kwa TB Joshua hakudzidziswi chiprofita. Vangatokudzidzisa kunamatira vanhu kwete ku profita. yes anybody who believes and has faith in Jesus can cast out demons even if he is not a prophet. I can do it, but i am not a prophet but I have great faith and belief in The mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Nigeria is the center for satanism. Watch out whether TB wacho, ndozin, anga ziguru. Muchafa makadaro. Read the bible guys to understand God and the present time. Why do poeple believe in man and not Jesus Christ the High Priest of the order of Melekizedeck. The deception of the devil is great. Who trained John the Baptist? Who trained Elijah? Who trained Nehanda,? Who trained Chaminuka? No human being but God gave all these prophets the gift directly.

Sabhuku - 8 April 2014

Prophet Magaya said he is going to invite one of the wisemen to Zimbabwe. He said the way he is going to do it was to start by inviting his spiritual father and when he turns him down then he would in turn ask for a wiseman to come to Zim.

Yarrick - 8 April 2014

Our attention has been drawn to a newspaper article which claims that Mr Walter Magaya is bringing TB Joshua to Zimbabwe. This is not to be believed. This is a dream. We pray that your dream comes to pass one day. Sometimes, one's heart's desire comes true if one is steadfast in God's will. It is my desire to come to my country because I love the nation and people of Zimbabwe, but there is no plan for now, so this story is not to be believed. Also, regarding the issue of Mr Magaya's wife undergoing prophetic training at The SCOAN, there is nothing like that. The story is not true. We do not train people for prophetic ministry; God does, by the adoption of the Holy Spirit. By the way, how many prophetess do we have in The SCOAN for now? None. God bless the people of Zimbabwe, the nation of Zimbabwe, and it's leaders, in Jesus' name. Mazvinzira mega from TBJ himself

Wezhira - 8 April 2014

We should be careful the way we pass across messages/information to the public. TB JOSHUA did not PREDICT Michael Jackson's DEATH! What TB Joshua said, and which was confirmed by Tee Mac (former PMAN president), was that he saw a vision to pray for Michael jackson's health and deliverance. He had said it in the church in February that the congregation should pray for a great star in the world so that the person would not go to the journey of no return. This is different from PREDICTING SOMEONE'S DEATH. We can say he had a premonition or vision, but NOT PREDICTION!

Taffy - 8 April 2014

Mai Tendai undergoing prophetess training? I've never heard of such a thing as prophet training.
