Hwange crush Buffaloes

HWANGE - Hwange started their Castle Premier Soccer League campaign with an emphatic 5-1 win against visiting Buffaloes at Colliery yesterday.

Evans Rusike and Rodwell Chinyengetere scored a brace each while Tafara Chese scored the other to give new Buffaloes coach Luke Masomere baptism of fire.

Buffaloes found their only goal through Kelvin Thembani.

The home side made their intention known from as early as three minutes with the first goal coming from Rusike.

Hwange continued to dominate and got their second goal 42 minutes into the game from Chinyengetere, who is returning after fully recovering from a career-threatening injury.

Kelvin Thembani pulled one back for the visitors in the 38th minute.

After the break, the coalminers took from where they left with Chinyengetere completing his brace in 58th minute.

Rusike scored the fourth goal for Hwange in 61th minute to also complete his brace while Chese added another goal for Hwange.
