Gaza Commander birthday bash at Stoddart Hall

HARARE - Shambare Promotions will host a birthday bash tonight for Mbare-based dancehall promoter David Kandawasvika at Stoddart Hall.

The high profile gig for Kandawasvika, who is popularly known as the Gaza Commander, will feature Soul Jah Love, Kinnah, Seh Calaz, Gupsy Warrior, Bounty Lisa, MicInity and Nadine Fire.

There will also be guest performances by Small Axe, Chill Spot and Zion Empire as well as several upcoming artistes.

On Sunday, Shambare Night Club will present Madd Sunday hosted by Zion Empire DJ Cables, MC Princo, Chill Spot records and DJ Fantan.

There will also be guest performances by Small Axe, Mighty Ducks, RedFox Sounds, Jexaous corner, Judgement Yard, Junglers Paradise, Dj Nash, DJ Ohms, Sir Ricardo, DJ Picarso, DJ Smalls and DJ Smash from 2 pm till late.

Miss Red Fox on tonight

Red Fox International will host Miss Red Fox tonight. The show, expected to kick off at 8pm, will feature DJs and sound systems including RedFox Sounds, Dj Doc, MC Prophet, DJ Spinalong and Candy.

There will be the Reggae Gold Saturdays Official launch at the same venue tomorrow featuring Nadine Fire back to back with Jiggaz. The two artistes will be backed by the Red Radicals Band in a concert that will also feature guest performances by team Penga Penga.

Young Igwe at the Show grounds

Dandaro Inn, located at the Harare Agricultural Show grounds, will host sungura musician Peter Moyo and his Utakataka Express tonight. The Kwekwe-based artiste will share the stage with Judgement Yard.

Jah Prayzah, Winky D to rock Pamuzinda

Winky D will celebrate the four awards he won at the Zim Dancehall Awards on Wednesday night with an explosive show at Pamuzinda tonight in which he will share the stage with Jah Prayzah. The award-winning duo will again share the stage on Sunday at Extra Mile Leisure.

Zimdancehall Celebrity Party at Super Label

Club Super Label will play host to the Zimdancehall Celebrity Party tomorrow that will feature Lady Squanda, Seh Calaz, Platinum Prince, Crystal, Ricky Fire, Kinnah, Mostaff, Empress Fly and Empress Fina.

Watenzi in Norton tonight

Upcoming sungura musician Howard ‘Watenzi’ Pinjisi is performing at Kudzanai Beer Hall in Norton tonight.

He will then take his act to Sacco Bar in Mbare tomorrow where there will be a family show.

Dzivaresekwa hosts dancehall fiesta

Several leading dancehall stars including Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz, Kinnah and Freeman will share the stage tomorrow at Dzivaresekwa Stadium.

Gig galore at the Book Cafe

The Book Café weekend entertainment programme will kick off tonight with a Bira Dziva Rembira on the Garden Stage and Mawungira Enharira on the main Book Café stage.

Tomorrow Tsvete, an exciting young Afro-pop group from Oliver Mtukudzi’s Pakare Paye Arts Centre, will perform at the Book Café Garden Stage while veteran reggae group Transit Crew will entertain revellers at the main stage on the same night in a concert that will feature some of Harare’s favourite reggae singers who have travelled the road with the band over the years.

Artistes expected to be part of Transit Crew’s act include McInity, Mannex, Chaza and Farai.
