Bev may bounce back on stage

HARARE - A storm is brewing in Walter Magaya’s Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD)v Ministries over the control of former Sexy Angels front lady Beverly ‘Bev’ Sibanda.

Her manager, Hapaguti ‘Harpers’ Mapimhidze who has been maintaining a tight grip on the former pole dancer feels the church is sidelining him when it comes to Bev and believes the diva might bounce back on stage.

Mapimhidze joined PHD barely three months ago and has pulled out of the church saying he “did not want to fool God.

“To be honest, I walked out of the church because it is futile to pretend to worship Him yet I know I am after material things.

“The church is failing to give me due respect when it comes to Bev. It is not that I am Bev’s personal manager but to my surprise the guys are going behind my back talking to her and in the process completely side lining me,” said the Dancers Association of Zimbabwe official adding that he had since stopped, putting on the church’s wrist band.

Apart from being side-lined, Mapimhidze is regretting joining the fast growing congregation saying the development has brought hunger to his home.

“Things are not well at the shop, business is low hence I cannot just sit waiting to be given something by the church.

“In fact I am a person who loves working hard and not beg. I decided to pull out of the church because I was struggling to earn a living,” he said adding he is not going to influence Bev to quit the PHD church.

“I am not going to influence her to quit but I think she is also not happy about what is happening at the church.

“Last week, she was manhandled by church bouncers and chances are high that she will soon re-surface on the stage,”he said.

Mapimhidze vowed that he would never abandon Sibanda.

“To me Bev is like my daughter hence I will not leave her alone. When she quit the stage for business, a number of artistes asked me to manage them but I spurned all of them because I have a feeling that one day Bev is going to bounce back on the stage,” he said.

Efforts to obtain a comment from Sibanda and PHD church officials proved fruitless as their mobile phones were not reachable by the time of going to press.

Sibanda was blessed with a clothing boutique by Magaya when she joined the church.

Magaya said he blessed her with a shop as a way to stop her from going back to her traditional way of earning a living.

“Those people (strippers) were forced by the spirit of poverty to indulge in what they were doing in beer halls for a living.

“God is working miracles in their lives hence we have replaced their old profession with morally-acceptable projects of their choices,” Magaya said in a previous interview with this publication.

I'm of the opinion that Bev was never convinced by the word of God to leave her source of income for the shop we are told she now owns. Dai zvaibvira Magaya aidai akaregera Bev achinamata kuPHD kwacho ari mubasa rake rekushanda akashama iroro kusvikira panguva iyo yaaipindwa neshoko raMwari zvokuti aingosiya achitenda kuti Mwari havaizomusiya achifa nenzara

There will always be a problem with luring people to church with money and material wealth promises.

Following the story from the start we will all realize that she came to church on her own for a couple of times actually and lured by money or any material thing. Lets support those who turn away from darkness to God, its not going to be an overnight event but a process to some...... leaving your "old" ways but eventualy you will get there. Lets support her and pray for her #let_love_lead
