Chi-town magistrate dies

HARARE - Chitungwiza resident magistrate Kudakwashe Jarabini has died — he was 36.

Jarabini, who was born on February 1, 1978, died on Wednesday night after a short illness.

The Marondera-born magistrate attended Madzivire Primary School between 1987 and 1994, before moving on to Madzivire Ranch School in Chivhu.

He did his Advanced Level at St Francis Xaviers College Kutama in Norton before enrolling at Fort Hare University in South Africa, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree.

Jarabini started working for the Judicial Service Commission on May 10, 2006, as a trainee magistrate at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts, before he was sworn-in in March 2007.

He was transferred to Chitungwiza Magistrates’ Courts in September 2012, where he became the resident magistrate.

He is survived by his wife Memory.

Mourners are gathered at 1790 Area D Westgate in Harare. Burial arrangements will be advised in due course.
