Who are you hiding from Mr Reynolds?

EDITOR — It is amazing that an international media house like the Associated Press (AP) gives space to the former US Congressman who was recently deported from Zimbabwe over pornography charges and violation of Zimbabwe immigration laws.

It appears anything about Zimbabwe is newsworthy to these international media.

It betrays logic for AP to believe this criminal when only yesterday he was in their headlines for the same crimes. This is the same Reynolds who, three years after being elected to Congress, was forced out of office when he was convicted on 12 counts of solicitation of child pornography, obstruction of justice, statutory rape, 15 counts of bank fraud and lying to the Security and Exchange Commission.

With such a wealth record of crime, what then makes any sane person to believe that the Zimbabwean authority arrested him on trumped up charges?

Reynolds believes his life is in danger because of the secret information he is privy to. He also said he is in hiding in South Africa.

You are hiding from who Reynolds? If the Zimbabwean authority wanted to harm you, they could have done so while you were under arrest.

The same authority is the one that deported Reynolds, so how could he hide from the people who escorted him to the airport?

I have strong feelings that Zimbabwe has nothing to do with you as long as you are not within its borders. Those lies will not salvage Reynolds’ soiled image back to his home.

He is, however, welcome to Zimbabwe only when he is a lawful visitor.
