Airport Lounge strippers land in court

HARARE - Two Airport Lounge Night Club strippers were nabbed at the joint during a strip-tease last Friday.

Brenda Chitsiga, 21, and Candice Namatika, 24, appeared before Harare magistrate Rebecca Ushamba for contravening the Censorship and Entertainment Control Act (Prohibition of public entertainments not approved by the Board).

Chitsiga of Mhashu Street Dzivaresekwa in Harare and Namatika of 1664 Sunningdale, both pleaded guilty to the charges.

They both possess Certificate ‘C’ from the Censorship Board, which approves them to conduct strip tease in public places.

Prosecutor Fransisca Mukumbiri proved that on January 30, Chitsiga was on duty at Airport Lounge Night Club.

She got on stage and started her strip tease performance before pulling one of the male audiences on stage.

Chitsiga started performing raunchy dance moves on the man, thereby breaching one of the conditions set for strip teasing, which prohibits physical contact between the artist and the audience.

Chitsiga was subsequently arrested by police officers on the spot.

Mukumbiri further proved that on the same night, Namatika who was also on duty at the pub, got on stage and started doing her dances.

During the performance, she allowed her male audience to physically put money into her underwear, and also breached conditions which prohibited physical contact between the artist and the audience.

And I read that each one of them is said to have been on 'duty'. What duty? who gives them the duties and what salary do they get? Women Groups protect these young girls from corrupt people at the censorship board. Munopa vana macertificates ekuGehena.
