Law was abolished

EDITOR — “By his death he ended the whole system of the Jewish law which excluded the gentiles, his purpose was to make peace between Jews and gentiles by creating in himself one new person from the two groups” Ephesians 2:15 (TNLT).

Many folks have a challenge accepting that God abolished the law.

Recently, l noticed a fellow brethren attack folks with tattoos and in that, she quoted some verses in Leviticus. Well, many have alternative viewpoints and they don’t want to change even if they learn the truth, which is the word.

This is wrong, we should repent from our old theories when we acquire the truth.

The verses says, “God ended the Jewish system..” the TLB translation says,“ for he died to annul that whole system of Jewish laws. “ Eph 2:15, the KJV says, “He abolished...”

God has put to end the laws of the old testament. Do you mean to say, even the 10 Commandments?

Emphatically yes. First of all the laws were given to Jews and not to gentiles so even if they were not abolished you had no business following them.

Romans 3:19 says, “what thing soever saith the law saith to them who are under the law. So when the law says, “thou shalt not tatoo thy body”, or any of those thou shalt not of the laws of the old testament, it is referring to those under the law. That’s what Romans 3:19 says.

Now, Romans 6:14 says, “..Ye are not under the law but under grace.” hey stop there a little. Join these two verses. “What thing-so-ever saith the law saith to them who are under the law ... ye are not under the law but under grace”, do you see that?

Hello, brethren the laws you seek to follow are not even meant for you because you are not under the law.

Grace is salvation without merit. All you do is to accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour. When Christ is your lord he leads you to obedience, for he now lives in you (your heart becomes the temple of God) where the law is written, and He who lives in you cannot disobey the will of his Father. The law does not justify you, instead it condemns you to death and you are justified only through Christ. The law is holy Romans 7. God is Holy and you should be Holy. The law (10) makes you to be aware of sin. You are however justified from everything you could not be justified from by the Law of Moses through Christ Acts13:39. All laws that God spoke through Moses "the LORD said to Moses....." are the laws of Moses. The laws or Commandments of God are the ones He spoke Himself to people and wrote with His own finger and He added NO MORE Deut 5:22. Children of Israel were obliged to keep the Law of God and of Moses 2 Kings 21:8. We are saved to the obedience of the law of God through faith in Christ Revelation 14:12 Check you Scripture in its entirety my brother before you are misled by your teacher/ pastor who gave you a portion of the word of God. Neither should you mislead without verification. Tattoos - no obligation it's true. However read that part of scripture as an example how God dealt with people in the past. Is tattooing a good example? But you cannot condemn a fellow Christian on tattoos God forbid!

Muza, Muza, Muza, please read. The ten commandments are not Jewish laws, they are moral laws. They define God's character which is love. The first 4 point man to God and the last 6 point man to man. And Just explicilty said I did not come to abolish but fulfill. Look, if you are told to love you enemy and pray for you persecutors, isnt that love taken a mile further. If you only love your brother, dont evil doers do the same loving their brothers too? So let it be known to you that the 10 commandments (moral laws) are to you a mirrow to make right your social and spiritual standing. Jesus, the same yesterday today and forever mind you.Read 2 John 1:6, Rev 12:17, Rev 14:12 and Rev 22:14. God bless you

We follow the Law but we follow the law which says love your neighbour as yourself, love cannot wrong anyone. The Bible teaches that he who seeks to be justified by the Law has fallen from grace. Jesus Christ will profit you nothing. When you sin find a priest and kill an Ox. The Law and Christ's sacrificial dearth do not mix.

Once you love your neighbour as yourself everything falls into place, you won't commit adultery with his wife, you won't steal from him, you won't hurt him, hey hey Jesus said 'Love one another'. You will only find yourself entangled into which law to believe if you don't love your neighbour.

Therefore the law is holy and we are sinners yet we can be made holy through accepting Christ our righteousness for a canal mind cannot submit to Gods law.
