Zekumbawire, Chinyengetere back at Hwange

BULAWAYO - Francisco Zekumbawire is back at Hwange following an unsuccessful loan stint at Dynamos.

Big forward Zekumbawire struggled to command a first team jersey at the Glamour Boys and has decided to go back to Hwange after the expiry of his loan deal.

Zekumbawire, together with former Hwange captain Rodwell Chinyengetere, who spent last season on the side lines due to a career threatening injury, are with the team for the pre–season training.

Hwange started their pre-season training on Wednesday with a full complement of their squad from last season, save for defender Eric Chipeta, who is with the national team in South Africa for the Chan tournament.

Chipangano were taken through their paces by head coach Nation Dube, assistant coach Bryan Njobvu, goalkeepers coach Chenjerai Dube and physical trainer Kennedy Nyape, ending speculation that the technical team was out of contracts with Hwange.

Meanwhile, Hwange might lose defender Eric Chipeta, who has attracted interest from a number of South African Preiership teams following impressive performances at the Chan finals.

Chipeta was also on the radar of Zimbabwean giants Highlanders.
