Garanganga out of US tourney

HARARE - Zimbabwe tennis ace Takanyi Garanganga bowed out of the on-going 2014 Royal Lahaina Challenger in the United States at the weekend.

Garanganga lost out 3-6 6-3 6-4 to Tsung-Hua Yang (TPE) in the quarter-finals of the USTA Pro Circuit event hosted in the state of Hawaii.

The Harare-born tennis ace had earlier overcame America’s Daniel Kosakowski in a titanic tussle that ended 2-6 6-4 7-6(5) before upsetting Canadian Frank Dancevic 7-5 6-3 in the second round.

Yang defeated fourth seed Jack Sock and Jamere Jenkins from the United States en route to the quarter finals.
