Landlord up for sodomising tenant's son

HARARE - A Highlands landlord reportedly sodomised his tenant’s eight-year-old son while recording the act.

Martin Gorge Blair, 32, of Ridgeway South Highlands, appeared before Harare magistrate Vakayi Chikwekwe charged with aggravated indecent assault and contravening sections of the Censorship and Entertainment Control Act.

The matter was remanded to January 30 after the State applied for accused to undergo a mental examination under Section 26 of the Mental Health Act.

Prosecutor Sharon Mashavira alleges that sometime in September last year, the child was alone in their one-roomed house watching television.

Blair reportedly took advantage of the parents’ absence and summoned the boy to his house.

While at the house, Blair reportedly removed the child’s clothes and fondled his private parts.

He started sucking the boy’s privates and subsequently sodomised him.

The complainant cried and tried to resist the actions but Blair continued sodomising him.

Blair repeatedly approached the boy on different occasions and molested him.

He also recorded all incidences.

The abuse came to light after Blair’s mother Evelyn Blair and sister Penelope Jillian Volker discovered pornographic videos and photos in Blair’s phone.

The two proceed to Highlands Police Station where they produced the videos which showed a white man committing oral indecencies on a black juvenile’s privates.

Complainant’s father failed to identify the boy who featured in the pornographic video although the boy reported that Blair had molested and sodomised him on camera.

The juvenile also told the police that Blair had repeatedly abused him on several occasions up to January this year.

Police made efforts to locate the juvenile who featured in the videos but Blair implicated his friend in the abuse.
