Warriors move up on Fifa rankings

HARARE - Zimbabwe have made a slight and almost insignificant move according to the latest edition of the Fifa/Coca Cola World Rankings released yesterday.

The rankings by the world football controlling body Fifa saw the Warriors move up to 105 in the world up from 107 and are now ranked number 29 on the African continent up from 30.

African heavy weights, Ivory Coast, retained their place as the best team in Africa, followed by Ghana, Algeria, Egypt and Cape Verde Islands.

Meanwhile European giants Spain have maintained their stranglehold on top of the world rankings followed by Germany and Argentina on second and third place respectively.
