Zim Rugby AGM date set

HARARE - Zimbabwe Rugby Union (ZRU)’s annual general meeting has been set for February 16 at Prince Edward School in Harare, starting 9am.

In a statement yesterday, ZRU’s marketing consultant David Crouch said the Zimbabwe Ladies Rugby committee will also be holding their AGM a day before the main meeting at the same venue.

2014 is a crucial year for Zimbabwe, who are aiming to qualify for their first Rugby World Cup in 22 years.

The Sables will take part in an African Zone final qualification tournament in Madagascar with the hosts, Namibia and Kenya.

The winner of the tournament automatically seals Africa’s sole place (outside South Africa) at next year’s World Cup finals in England.
