Another Extra Kwazvose album due in March.

HARARE - Sungura outfit Extra Kwazvose says all is set for the launch of their second album titled Sando Dzenyu.
The album is due for release in March.

John Murira, the group manager, told the Daily News that the album was going to prove the outfit was not some one-hit wonder.

“The album is ready and it is going to be recorded at Gramma Records,” he said.

“We have more than 15 songs ready but we are just going to select only six tracks for the album to be released in March.

“Songs on the upcoming album have already become a darling of our fans as we usually perform them at our concerts.”

Some of the songs on the upcoming album include Sando, Rukudzo, Thelma and Musoropamwe among others.
Most of the songs on the album were composed by Francis ‘Franco Slomo’ Dhaka, while some were composed by popular chanter Jonasi Kasamba.

Murira said the group was happy that it had made a huge impact on the market though being new in showbiz.
“The group was formed last year in June but we managed to breakthrough, now the name Extra Kwazvose is now a household name,” he said.

Extra Kwazvose has one album Ndizvo Zviripo under their belt.

Their first album comprises of songs such Amen, Julius, Africa, Amai VaBonnie, Ishe Ndinotenda, Mudiwa Wangu and Gurajena which was on third position last year on the National FM Top 50 chart.

Extra Kwazvose is a band made up of former members previously of Alick Macheso’s Orchestra Mberikwazvo.

It is composed of dancer/lead vocalist Dhaka, drummer Obert Gomba, Congolese chanter Kasamba and lead guitarist Noel Nyazanda.

Ah Extra Kwazvose ndizvo maka gona vakomana that is what employment creation is all about dont listen to those who when they are desetrted they compose special songs to demonise and insult others. Why instead of appreciating why do you waste your resources to pen a song to demonise other groups from deserting you. Ndizvo Zviripo ah baba Sharon vakaita mudumbu vaka mira zvavo pa side. Please musicians you are there to entertain not to demonise each other when they decide to leave you and creat their own projects so pamberi vakopmana waiting for your next Album in March mato nonoka mhani kkkkkkk

Keep it up guys you are doing well. But is it wise to continue realesing albums considering that music sales are almost non in Zimbabwe, i suggest you follow the dancehall trend of releasing singles which keep you on record charts and do make you get invitations to live shows, else album releases benefit pirates, food for thought.
