Let God be elevated, not men

EDITOR - I refer to your article on Prophet Angel. Art Katz in his book, The Holocaust: Where was God? said that the nub of all evil is the elevation of man. And he is one hundred percent correct.

It worries me greatly that people anywhere may at any time lift up and exalt any man.

We do it in politics, in sport, in the entertainment industry and even in the Church.

It is an abomination to a holy God; especially in the Church.

We need to decrease so that Christ may increase as the Apostle Paul said.

Man is created to worship and if we are not worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth we will worship something else or someone else.

A very dangerous place to be and rampant in the very place that calls itself the Church of Jesus Christ.

We have no idea what it means to truly worship in spirit and in truth and so we end up lifting up the men and women behind the pulpit.

And they end up usurping the place of Jesus Christ.

A very vicious and serious circle.

The prosperity message is indeed a false gospel. I am not here to judge Prophet Angel but I will take issue with his statement, “Show me one man of God from Genesis to Revelation who walked with God and was His friend and was poor and I will show you a great liar.”

That is an extremely erroneous and misleading statement to make.

And I would point him to Jesus who had no place to lay His head and there were many more.

The riches God is concerned with are the unsearchable riches of Christ.

Nothing more and nothing less! God is not concerned with worldly riches, only that we have enough for the day.

Some will be given worldly goods and the intention would be to share it with those less fortunate and the extension of God’s work on earth.

When I see a man arriving in a helicopter having previously boasted about the purchase of a very expensive vehicle and bragging about multi-million dollar business enterprises and having crowds of fawning congregants following after him and hanging onto every word, I begin to have a serious problem.

Each and every one of us needs a revelation of what dying to self really means.

The cross is an instrument of death. I wonder what Paul would say?

Being an expression of Christ is not about living the life of a superstar and hosting thousands of people in a lavish building do not constitute the Church.

The true Church is spiritual: the true Church is Jesus Christ Himself!

The true Church is in the heart of God’s true Church; Christ in me the hope of glory!

Of course the chickens are already making noise here becoz the eagle passed above them but only fools will never acknowledge wisdom when they come across it. Many people are quick to point out that Jesus was poor, how do you explain that he never got broke when He had a thief for a treasurer? And Jesus' ministry had partners as well (Luke 8v1-3). You quote a verse that says foxes have holes and birds have nests what about this one when Jesus invited John's disciples to his house? Do you think He invited them to nowhere? I live in Harare and if I go to Dubai I will tell you I have nowhere to live but don't be a fool to think I don't have a house.

It is very blasphemous for people to try and justify trickery by attempting to convert their evils feelings into fact, using the bible. Jesus was never rich. Where would he get the money? He never tricked anyone, but instead urged people to give money to Caesar, and never to God. Matthew 19:24, 'And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God'. This was after a bragging rich man like Hubert Mudzanire (And why change surname to Angel) refused to sell his helicopters, flash cars and donate proceeds to the poor as was instructed by Jesus. If Jesus was rich, why would he instruct others to sell their riches and donate to the poor? Please know that all you who support money gospel, your souls/minds are not born again. To simplify, imagine a pig happens to works as a head cook in a restaurant, then all the menus and ingredients would be changed to suite the pigs diet - and the pig will not run short of reasons to justify the inclusion of its favourite dirty-mud into recipes. Got the sense?

Indeed the gospel is not for everyone. It is for the elect. The scriptures mentions somewhere that the Law will be written in their hearts. Those who truly love Christ will meet him for He says in John 14 verse 4, where I go you know and the Way you know. It is obvious though that not everyone knows. Pray without ceasing that the way be revealed to you. Understand Jesus Christ and no man can ever lead you astray. The bible is clear and it warns us that some will use the gospel for profit. Humility, genorosity and love for the poor are some of the atributes of Christ.

Hanzi Prophet Angel is taking money from the desperate poor. Ivo varombo vacho vakambotorerwa mariiko ivo vasina mari yacho? Kutova murombo uri muchurch shows that you don't give at all? why don't you post about the 10 schools that the prophet Angel adopted n is paying fees for every child in those schools. What about the 4000 widows that got free shelter and are continuing to get monthly supplies of food from the same Prophet. Why not take pictures of hand of mercy and UFIC trucks going to feed ppl in the rural arreas for free. All of you here who are against Major , what have you done for the poor even this festive season? The Prophet is more important to a lot of people becoz his making a difference in their lives.

It doesn't make sense for God's children to live in poverty while satan's children prosper. I believe in Gospel of prosperity. God will take us through and become rich in money and spirit. Amen Prophet

If Jesus Christ was rich he would have hired many trucks with food to feed the five thousand men plus the unknown number of women and children. The fact that he was spiritually rich is why he multiplied five loaves and two fishes. When tax was required He sent Peter for fishing where the money was found in the mouth of the first fish he caught. How can a man of God travel with a convoy of cars or a helicopter how will he see the street kids, blind and lame people in the streets.Jesus Christ walked on foot yet He was God in flesh and luxury means of transport were camels and asses which were owned by rich people.

eagle's eye - 3 January 2014

The bible speaks of false prophets, and we are seeing around ourselves, people amassing worldly richies and failing to understand the gospel of spiritual wealth. Our Lord God (Jesus Christ, in the flesh) did not posses any material richies, but spiritually, His wealth is immeasurable. The bible does not instruct us to amass material wealth, for where will it take us? Explore the world of spiritual wealth and you will understand how evil it is for a man to brag about material wealth. Abraham was materially and spiritually wealthy, but he never bragged, talk about Jacob (Israel) Job, King Solomon, etc, they never bragged. Thank you God for making us understand, spiritually. Amen.

Siziba P - 3 January 2014

It is ynthinkable that people believe that Jesus was God in the flesh. The glory of God fills the whole earth and canot be contained in the womb of a woman. When Moses approached the Burning Bush, God warned him to be careful saying "Mo One may see my Face and live." In Isaiah GOD PROCLAIMS "i am the first and the last, besides Me there is no god. My Glory I will not give to another!" Jesus was a Jew who lived and died a Jew. To believe otherwise is idolatry.

Preaching Salvation is prosperity, preaching holiness is preaching prosperity, preaching rigtiousness is preaching prosperity, preaching deliverance is prosperity, casting demons is to allow people to have prosperity, preaching good living is prosperity, preaching love, mercy patience, self respect, loving neigbours is prosperity, preaching chocolates, clothes, cars, houses, helicopters, zvikopokopo is all prosperity!!!!!!!! to be born again is prosperity, to speak in tongues is prosperity, evangelism is prosperity, teaching the word correctly is prosperity....saka a True Man of God should preach about all good things. thats why Prosperity is all about. saka kana muchiti prosperity is a wrong GOSPEL ndokuti chii ikoko!!!!!!! hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa

3. MONEY IS A CONTROLLING FACTOR IN THEIR LIVES. "Not greedy of filthy lucre" is one of the qualifications for those who are ordained to the full work of the ministry, 1 Timothy 3:3. It was to a young preacher that Paul wrote the familiar words, "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows," 1 Timothy 6:10. Though the love for money can bring unnecessary sorrow to all, preachers especially need to watch it. But it is common in false prophets. In Paul's letter to Timothy he spoke of some false teachers who considered "that gain is godliness." When writing to Titus he referred to some deceivers "whose mouths must be stopped," and said they were preaching for the money, or "for filthy lucre 's sake," Titus 1:10-11. Jude used most of his book dealing with false prophets and he referred to this same problem, Jude 11. Money is a need we all have, and God gives it to us regularly as a blessing, Philippians 4:19. But to make riches our goal in life is wrong and it brings "many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition," 1 Timothy 6:9. A man cannot "haste to be rich" and stay innocent, Proverbs 28:29. And while many of God's servants have some problems with this, all need to know that letting money be a controlling factor in their ministry is a mark of false prophets.

Mfundisi - 5 January 2014

1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed. 2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. 3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.1 Timothy Chapter 6

Luk 8:1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, Luk 8:2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, Luk 8:3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

Brethren , do not judge the "Man of God" I t is unto the Lord to judge. however it is gross stupidity and ignorance to go all the way mumbling about " touch not my anointed " the bible tells us that we should try all spirits . when we do so we have the right to conclude from the standpoint of the word of God. Jesus was never controversial among them that believed in God. He was never proud of anything , He being God he never said i am God clearly , he referred to Jehovah as His father and told man not to exult him but his father. the bible says unless we be like children we cannot inherit the kingdom of God , it also says God resist the proud . the bible says true Christianity is considering the plight of the less privileged , poor , the needy , the widows and in considering their plight it say let not the left hand know what your right hand does lest we may be like the hypocrites who climb on top of houses and shout we are praying here. when we extend our hands to the ppor it is self evident , news will go around and people will no . Helping is one thing ( thats your portion ) and the spreading of the news is another thing ( thats not your portion ) the glory is of the father and never of man . the bible warns us that many shall say father did we not do a b c in your name and the father will disown them . let us all see to it we search the unsearchable riches of God , the riches of the Spirit . yes !! we as Christians are rich and the riches that we have are of Jesus but my brethren being rich is not the only business we have in this world . it is upto you to believe what you want to believe but know this thou that the Lord says do not bow down before anything except him alone. miracles are there yes , signs are there yes , prophesy is there ..yes!!but do not let these carry you away . pray that you may obtain grace to enter the kingdom of God.
