I want 100 children: Gumbura

HARARE - Independent End Times Message founder Robert Martin Gumbura, who has 30 children and 11 wives, has told a Harare magistrate that he aimed to have 100 children.

Gumbura, who is facing multiple rape charges, yesterday denied molesting women, as his defence case opened.

Prosecutor Jonathan Murombedzi closed the State’s case after leading evidence from 12 witnesses, including the victims and police officers.

Gumbura, who has been a pastor for the past 35 years, said all the witnesses were being influenced by Spoken Word Ministries Godwin Chitsinde, to ensure his downfall.

Chitsinde strenuously denied the allegation when he testified.

“It’s a serious syndicate,” Gumbura said, claiming his detractors were actually praying and fasting for his conviction.

He said he was in love with most of the women, whom he had plans to marry.

He refuted claims by one of the victims who told the court that Gumbura forced her to abort.

He said he was not aware that the woman aborted.

“I have 30 children and actually want 100,” he said.

“Had I known she was pregnant I would not have asked her to abort. If she aborted, then she did it on her own,” Gumbura said, claiming that he never threatened anybody.

He said one of the witnesses lied when she told the court that Gumbura forced her to surrender her salary to him for two years.

Gumbura said the woman was only getting $150 and there was no way he could have demanded such a paltry amount.

“She was earning $150 and that is not enough for my breakfast,” Gumbura said, adding that he is suffering for being a Good Samaritan and a pastor.

He alleged the witness, who was working in Chinhoyi, left employment so that he would stay with him in Harare, after complaining that she was not having enough sex.

Gumbura said the woman had fertility problems and needed to be with him most of the time, to ensure that she gets pregnant.

He said that it is his tradition that he only pays the bride price to any of his wives, once the woman had conceived.

Gumbura is a serial rapist. He should just be locked and keys thrown down the well. This serves as a lesson for women to be carefull of churches which are mushrooming everyday.

Vamwe 70 anofanira kuvaitira kuChikurubi. He is so arrogant that he could open his mouth and say that he would only pay lobola after the woman had conceived. So if the woman is barren then there is no marriage. What kind of gospel is this???

Anyone who thinks that Martin Gumbura is a Christian, needs to go to the altar and pray. Martin Gumbura is a born sinner who has been deceived by his own interpretation of The Word of GOD... "... Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost...". [ SEE 2 Peter 1:20-21 KJV ]. A tree is known by it's fruits. Beware of wolves in sheep clothes. This man...Martin Gumbura needs to be counselled and prayed for by his pastor. However, It is obvious that the man has shut his ears to Godly Counsel and has opened his heart to the lies of the devil and is quick to unzip his trousers in his strongly misguided pursuit of pursuit of his personal pet idol known as ".. SEXUAL GRATIFICATION..". All that Martin Gumbura stands for is sin and he is a slave of the devil. Christians are in The Nail Scarred Hands of Jesus and Gumbura and the devil...satan...do not have any power greater than Almighty GOD... Martin Gumbura : ".. Repent or perish..".
