'Alexio recovering well'

HARARE - Popular musician Alexio Kawara, who was knocked down by a car on Friday night, is recuperating at Parirenyatwa Hospital after doctors successfully operated him on his right leg.

Don Gwese, Kawara’s manager, told Daily News that the Shaina singer was recovering well from the broken leg he sustained moments after his own vehicle had been involved in an accident.

“Alexio crossed the road to check on the driver of the vehicle he had bumped into.

“As he was crossing back to his car he was knocked down and his right leg was broken in the process,” said Gwese.

“He is recovering well in a private ward at Parirenyatwa Hospital. We don’t know when he will be discharged yet.”

Sadly, Kawara’s accident happened on the same day prominent wheel spinner Deon “Dj Smoove” Fulton died after his car was involved in an accident near the TM Supermarket gate at Sam Levy Village in Borrowdale.
