Young Warriors in Cosafa semis

HARARE - Zimbabwe's Under-20 football team finished top of Group D despite being held by Mozambique 1-1 in a playoff match on Monday in the ongoing Cosafa Under-20 Youth Championship in Lesotho.

Jairos Tapera’s Young Warriors were in full control in the first half and went into the lead through a well taken goal by Tinotenda Kadewere in the 10th minute.

Mozambique came back a rejuvenated side in the second half and levelled the score through striker Clesio Bauque in the 63rd minute, capitalising on bad communication between goalkeeper Donovan Bernard and his defence.

Mozambique had the greater possession for much of the second half and could have clinched the winner as they kept the Young Warriors at bay but they were either wasteful or denied by the keeper.
