Repossessing assets of MPs who abuse CDFs most welcome

EDITOR ? Coalition Against Corruption (Cac) the leading anti corruption organisation in Zimbabwe applauds calls by the government to repossess assets from legislators suspected of abusing Constituency Development Funds (CDFs).

Such a move is long overdue and welcomed by Cac since this sends a strong message to would- be abusers in the new august House.

However, Cac calls upon the speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda to push for a motion compelling legislators to declare their assets.

As Cac we forwarded a letter to the Speaker demanding that parliamentarians declare their assets and months have passed without any action being taken.

As the International Anti Corruption Day approaches let’s demand that legislators declare their assets and let’s say no to corruption.
