Tino, Ammara fundraise for Mutoko girl

HARARE - Former TV and radio personality Tinopona Katsande aka TinTin will today launch the SaveAshley fundraising campaign in Harare.

Through her newly-launched organisation, Celebrities Combined, TinTin is fundraising money for little Ashley Mtengwa of Mutoko.

Ashley has a hole in her heart measuring 1,5cm and desperately needs surgery on her heart to fix this problem and inevitably save her life.

Rising musician Ammara Brown one of the spokespersons for the SaveAshley said: “We are going to be at Avondale, Borrowdale and Chisipite Shopping centers today and tomorrow with our donation buckets appealing to everyone we see to donate at least a dollar to SaveAshley. We are appealing to everyone who sees us to please donate.”

The total cost of the  surgery is $6 500, with the additional costs for medication, post operation care, board and food for Ashley and her mother who is accompanying her to India, totalling of $5 000”.

Katsande said it was a miracle on its own that Ashley’s parents had managed to raise the full $6 500 already on their own through a loan from their employer which has already been sent to India, but now they needed to raise the remaining amount for medications and their 21-day stay in India after the operation.

“As a combined effort we are appealing to all who see us today and tomorrow to please donate what they can so that we can give little vivacious Ashley the best Christmas present she could ever receive and that is the gift of life. People can also donate through Ecocash number 0773192737” she added.

Celebrities Combined launched their charity initiative two months ago when they played a big role on fundraising for Natasha

Sanyanga who needed an urgent bone marrow transplant in India.

It is reported that Natasha received the life saving operation and is still currently in India with her family where she is now receiving chemotherapy and is recovering well.

Is this the naked truth? I suppose when one is desperate, its hard to moralise about the source of funds and naked intentions of the fund raisers.

Hope this bitch does not raise for the sake of joy and drinking. Already who ever goes to this fund raising campaign programme is also a mascot. Remember teh good and innocent public should know that Tino whatever the name she might call it, she is a qualified and tested hure/bitch so Zimbabweans should wary of these ladies who are now desperate for publicity and fame. She is so desperate and tomorrow don't be suprised that she is now in South Africa as a desperate Pornographic Editor with whores at a brothel...Mark my words. For whose radio and broadcasting willl she work for? Rather she must decide to parade herself in the Avenues and compete with those whores for her survival. Watch this space and you will remember my messsage blessed Zimbabweans

Tinopona Katsande is not in a moral standing to do any charity work. What she posted on internet secludes her from any meaningful contribution to charitable work.

Is Tino serious???? This woman is so desperate for publicity. She thinks Zimbabweans have already forgotten that sex tape she posted on the internet. We dont need women like her in our society cause she is a very bad example to our children.

Everyone deserves a second chance. The good thing is she acknowledged her mistake, apologised and promised never to do it again. What more do you want from her? death sentence??

stop with your holier than thou attitude ,all of you people do lots of ugly stuff and its only you have not been exposed .Being on a sex tape has got nothing to do with this noble cause ,instead of making donations and help saving this poor child's life all you can think of is what Tino has done in the 'past'.Who among you has a clear record ?? Tsve zvekubatsira makutaura zvaTino ,this is about mwana anoda operation not uyo Tino !!
