Freeman, Jah Prayzah in collaboration

HARARE - Dancehall star Emegy Sylvester Chizanga, who is popularly known as Freeman has Mukudzei “Jah Prayzah” Mukombe on his forthcoming album set to be released at the end of this month.

Jah Prayzah, who has also collaborated with superstar Oliver Mtukudzi, Progress Chipfumo and Suluman Chimbetu, will feature on the track Sarura Wako.

The Joina City hit-maker’s 10-track album titled New Chapta is being marketed and distributed by Msasa-based Punchline Entertainment run by Freeman’s former manager Hillary Mutake.

Mutake confirmed to the Daily News yesterday that Freeman’s forthcoming album would ready for release by the end of the month.

“Electricity problems in Dzivaresekwa where the production is being done have delayed the album’s release a bit but at the end of the month Freeman’s fans will get this great album. As we speak now it is being mixed,” said Mutake.

Other songs on the album include New Chapta (title track), Watagwan, Usanete, Tondera, Vhaya, Mi Wah Money, Chakanaka, Sarura Wako, Kusvika Ndafa and Lyfe Yedu.

The 25-year-old Freeman, who is currently in South Africa doing joint shows with Sungura kingpin Alick Macheso and Enock “Nox” Guni, was unavailable for comment.

But in a recent post on his Facebook page, Freeman announced that he will soon go on tour to promote New Chapta.

“MadangerZone fans plans are now in motion for The Ghetto Album Tour which I will be doing promoting my new album New Chapta. Feel free to suggest to me dates, venues, and contacts in your area so that we can start to work on it,” wrote Freemam who is also known as the dancehall doctor.
