Ammara Brown, Alexio ignite Book Café

HARARE - Rising star Ammara Brown and seasoned afro-pop star Alexio Kawara will  perform at the Book Café tonight.
The two stunning vocalists are known for  their explosive performances.

Ammara burst onto the Harare music scene, captivating crowds with her stunning voice and charismatic stage presence.  In a short space of time, she has carved out a niche in the Zimbabwe music scene and is amassing a growing fan base. 

At this year’s Hifa, she brought the house down as the opening act for South African superstars Mi Casa and earlier this year performed at the Sauti za Busara Festival in Zanzibar alongside fellow Zimbabwean band, Cde Fatso and Chabvondoka. 

She has collaborated with many local artistes and is a dynamic, new talent destined for stardom.

Ammara Brown performs back to back with seasoned veteran Kawara, without doubt one of Harare’s top afro-pop artistes.

Alexio is a popular and regular performer at the Book Café and his shows combine his talent as a singer-songwriter, energetic dance moves and irresistible songs into a fantastic show that will keep you dancing all night long. 

His smooth vocal delivery, and expressive lyrics have won him many fans.

Alexio is well-known for his hit-songs Shaina, Karwiyo Aka and Musikana Akanaka.  His latest album Tose has cemented his reputation as an exciting, innovative artist who is on track to becoming one of the legends in Zimbabwean music history. 

Audiences can expect a wonderful mix of musical styles and rhythms performed by his veteran band, Shades of Black.
