Dino launches new album

HARARE - Dino Mudondo, one of Zimbabwe’s most promising young musicians will launch a new album today at Harare’s City Sports Bar.

Born on August 7, 1978 Mudondo began playing percussion for the senior school choir while in Form 2.

He teamed up with renowned producer Delani Makhalima in 2000 to form the group Second Nature that used to grace fashion and beauty pageants.

In 2001 he turned solo and released his debut album Makorokoto before releasing Makoikoi in 2003.

Dino has sung duet songs with Willom Tight and usually they perform as a single act.

In 2011 the musician produced his 17th album entitled Zuva Guru.

The maverick singer said: “The title track is Zuva Guru, a wedding song. I did this to maintain my tradition of releasing a wedding song like I did in my first album in 2002 which had the wedding song, Makorokoto.”

The album also contains an HIV and Aids awareness track Picki Nefoshoro. Mudondo said this is a sequel of Bus Rawakwira which was an HIV and Aids awareness song.
