D-Day for Wendall

HARARE - A Harare magistrate is today expected to deliver ruling in an application for discharge filed by former Big Brother Africa reality TV show winner Wendall Parsons, who is facing a $20 000 car insurance fraud.

Parsons, who is jointly charged with his brother William, made the application after claiming the State had failed to prove a prima facie case against them.

Harare magistrate Elijah Makomo deferred his ruling to today after the state filed its response yesterday morning.

Makomo said that he needed time to go through the submissions before making a ruling.

It is the State’s case that William was involved in an accident while driving his brother’s Ford Ranger, on March 16 this year.

The accident was reported at Borrowdale Police Station and it is alleged that Wendall’s vehicle was not insured on the day of the accident.
