Warriors fall in Fifa rankings

HARARE - ZIMBABWE have dropped one place on the latest Fifa rankings released by the world football governing body Thursday despite beating South Africa 2-1 in an international friendly in September.

The Warriors, who are now under the stewardship of former Zimbabwe international Ian Gorowa, are now ranked 102th in the world and 27th in Africa.

Ivory Coast remained Africa’s top-ranked team on the global rankings on position 17 followed by Ghana on number 23.

There was little movement in the world’s top 10 with world champions Spain maintaining pole position while Germany are number two with South American giants Argentina  occupying third place.
