Lady Squanda 'Punked' in new TV show

HARARE - Zimbabwean dancehall sensation Lady Squanda was the victim of a practical joke set up by online entertainment stable Zim Entertainment in the UK recently.

Along the lines of Punk’d, an American hidden camera-practical joke reality television series that first aired on MTV in 2003 and created by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, Zim Entertainment decided to try something similar.

Talent ‘Cookie’ Mujaji played the role of Paul ‘Dread’ Simple’s baby mother who confronts Lady Squanda during an interview while accusing her of having an affair with Simple Dread (the cameramen) during the interview.

Monica ‘Chelsea’ Chipato who was interviewing Lady Squanda was also pranked for the first 2 minutes as she also did not know the mock ‘baby mama drama’ was a stitch up.

A shocked Lady Squanda tried to defend the "relationship" claiming Simple Dread was her "cousin".

Speaking to Nehanda Radio Simple Dread said “we are working on a lot of things to come, we have short stories, comedy drama and romantic stories.

“What I can say is expect more pranks from Zim Entertainment, straight from the source. We are also launching our website on the 1st of November.”
