Kumbuyani seek derby win

HARARE - CAPS United captain Tapiwa Kumbuyani says the Green Machine are ready to end Dynamos’ dominance when the two teams clash in the 71st edition of the Harare Derby on Sunday.

The Green Machine have failed to beat Dynamos since 2009 and Kumbuyani has rallied his side to begin a new chapter and beat DeMbare, a result which will put their title ambitions right on track.

“The derby is a big match, everyone is looking forward to. We are preparing well without giving ourselves too much pressure. We want to take it just like any other match,” Kumbuyani told the Daily News.

“I don’t think there is any difference playing against Dynamos. It’s just that they are the defending champions. The good thing is we are all geared up for this match and morale is at its best in the camp.

“Expectations are obviously high from the fans and I promise them to come and rally behind the team. We are currently playing well and we just want to continue with the good form.

"We hope to come good this time around. We want to build on our current form and ensure we beat them this time around. We have developed winning mentality and it’s a morale boost for us.”
