Confusion over Psychomotor ministry

HARARE - Confusion reigns supreme over the role of the minister of State responsible for liaising Psychomotor activities in the Education ministry.

Even the minister himself, Josiah Hungwe, seems unsure of what his new job entails.

Hungwe told the Daily News at State House on Wednesday that his job entails monitoring the education curriculum in schools to ensure it meets an individual’s potential.

He said he would also ensure that an individual’s potential is utilised to the maximum.

“I will be responsible for ensuring that children’s strengths are monitored and nurtured as early as childhood until vocational training level,” he said.

“I will be working with the ministry of Primary and Secondary Education to ensure that children are learning what is good for them as well as things which are applicable to their individual needs.”

The dictionary definition of psychomotor skills is those skills “that you do so often that you don’t have to think about how to do them even when you are doing them.

“Typing is an example of a psychomotor skill.”

At State House, Hungwe could be overheard telling new Primary and Secondary Education deputy minister, Paul Mavhima to organise a meeting with him to discuss the functions of his new ministry as well as how it could be coordinated.

“Tingazoonana here tokurukura nezvebasa redu iri imi veministry yeEducation neministry yangu? (Can we meet as the two ministries to discuss our tasks” the Daily News overheard Hungwe telling Mavhima.

Government has a separate ministry of Higher Education.

Many are wondering what Hungwe’s duties involves. Hungwe is a former Masvingo governor.

Don't worry Josiah Hungwe. The "Psychomotor Ministry" post was just a trick by your uncle Bob to invite you to the gravy train. No-one (including Bob) will notice even if you remain quiet for the next 5 years. Just partake in the looting my man and enjoy it while it lasts!

There is a lot of bar talk about this psychomotor ministry and people are telling a whole lot of jokes about this ministry. One man was heard saying , "Maybe Psycho Motor means a motikari yem'pengo and the other man asked, "Where can I buy this motikari yem'pengo ,I also want a Psyco Motor."

There is nothing we will not hear these days. Soon there will be a minister of amorous affairs, a minister of osmosis, and minister of longevity, a minister of obfuscation.

AS the meaning of PSYCHOMOTOR say you don't have to apply your mind on a task that you will be doing. So in other ways it is meant for these ZANU PF sycopaths they don't reason .THEY destroy ,loot & blame the opposition ,the WEST ,SUNCTIONS,Tsvangirai but the funny thing they are the major players in all this destruction. Now we are going to get an extra ministry of RADICALISM headed by the HONOURABLE CHINOTIMBA watch the space .PSYCHOMOTOR MY RUBBISH.
