We need to be serious

EDITOR — It boggles the mind why national soccer team coach Ian Gorowa chose to play a very weak Warriors team in an international competition then go on to play the full strength team in a friendly match?

Of course, we were out of contention to progress to the next stage of the 2014 World Cup, but that does not warrant mediocrity.

Not only do such important games allow our technical department to plan for the future, they also enable the players themselves to get accustomed to playing with each other. At the end of the day, we saw a better display of football in a friendly match than we did in a World Cup qualifier.

We have a number of quality players at our disposal and it hurts to see all the talent going to waste. We need to be serious when it comes to our beloved Warriors.

As long we have people with that mind of quick success without taking time to build a strong foundation we are doomed for success.AS a team Zimbabwe need to have A COACH who emphasizes on passing a game and close ball control(the tikki takka ) but it needs patience and should start from junior teams.By so doing we can qualify for major tournaments and win trophies not zero formula wesometimes witness when our national team is playing,Zifa do something now we beg you in the name of FIFA foot ball development
