Time waits for no man

EDITOR — When the year 2013 started, the nation was gripped by huge uncertainty in all aspects be it the economy or society.

The political landscape and the thought of impending elections sent chills down many people’s spines.

However, the July 31 elections  came and have gone and the results were announced.

The winner was inaugurated and then focus shifted to the Cabinet — who was to get what portfolio.

This again has come and gone with the ministers having taken oath yesterday.

Still life goes on despite the fears we had before the announcement of the poll dates up to now.

Zimbabwe, it is time we move on and get our lives, businesses and society working again.

What we have learnt so far is time waits for no man.

While we may want to cry foul over the recycling of people who in the past failed to deliver, it is also important to know that uncertainty took much of our time this year.

The year is almost coming to an end.

To those who have assumed these important offices, you must never forget the masses.
