Mr Musclemania signs SA deal

HARARE - Newly-crowned Mr Musclemania, Champion Chienderamwano, signed a two-year sponsorship deal with South African privately-owned sport nutrition company Nutritect this week.

The Botswana-based Zimbabwean bodybuilder will receive supplements worth R5000 ($500) every month and an additional R3000 ($300) spending money in exchange for advertising the company’s products around Zimbabwe and Botswana.

“I believe the sponsorship will benefit my fellow Zimbabwean bodybuilders because its product ranges includes weight loss, mass gainer and weight increase,” Chienderamwano told the Daily News from Botswana yesterday.

“So far as I am the only athlete whom they are sponsoring and getting this recognition means something great is going to happen to many local bodybuilders. In any case we have got the best in terms of raw talent and what we lack is the access to these supplements.”

The 27-year-old from Kwekwe started bodybuilding at the age of 17 as an Ordinary Level pupil at Mbizo High School in the Midlands town. He has been crowned Iron Man Botswana Mr Botswana several times.

Last month, Chienderamwano paraded arguably his best frame to dislodge former Musclemania, Victor Hungwe, who was the defending champion of the Mr Muslemania. He received a VW Polo vehicle for his efforts.
