Sweswe still not registered

JOHANEESBURG – While Thomas Sweswe is still waiting for his South Africa permanent residence permit (PRP), Wits have yet to register the defender with the league for the 2013-14 season.

The Zimbabwean has applied for his PRP, and as it stands, Sweswe will not be able to play for Gavin Hunt’s side in a competitive outing, until he does receive his documents.

A Soccer-Laduma source within The Students camp explained that the former Kaizer Chiefs defender, who has one year left to run on his contract, is waiting for his papers.

“I can tell you that Sweswe is not yet registered by Wits because they are waiting for his permanent resident permit which he has already applied for. I think by now it should be about to come out," said the source.

Another Zimbabwean and former Chiefs defender, in Onismor Bhasera, has also applied for his PRP, which leave open an extra berth in Wits’ foreign quota. – Soccaladuma
