Gift Amuli sued over child support

HARARE - Sungura musician Gift Amuli has been sued for maintenance by the mother of his four children Clara Gutsa.

Gutsa did not delve into their marital status but claimed $250 as monthly maintenance for two of their children.

Both parties consented to the $250, which presiding magistrate Rekinah Dzikiti granted.

Gutsa warned journalists against reporting on the alimony case.

“Don’t even think about writing this story or publish my name otherwise you are going to face my lawyers,” Gutsa told   reporters at the Harare Civil Court.

“The children have been suffering enough and there is a lot going on between us, we don’t want the public to engage in our affairs. I also know your bosses and I intend to call them for the story to be struck off.”

Amuli is one of the founding members of Zvishavane Sounds which topped charts with the song Chitototo in the 1990s.

His first album Munombozvigona Sei which carried the hit song Wamatuka paved his grand entrance on the music scene.

He then released By Ginya, that exuded an exciting traditional flavour.
