War vets confiscate Tsvangirai posters

BIKITA - War veterans in Bikita East yesterday confiscated thousands of Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s campaign posters and dumped them in Dewure River.

Tsvangirai’s campaign posters were swept away by the river and were seen floating all over.

Edmore Marima, the MDC candidate for Bikita East, said his party was not amused by the war veterans’ antics, saying they were blatantly violating electoral laws at a time their president was calling for free, fair and peaceful elections.

“Some war veterans led by their self-styled commander known as Cde Gudo here, took the posters at Dewure Shopping Centre after they were delivered from our provincial offices and dumped them in Dewure River,” Marime said.

Marime said they made a report to the police but the war veterans were not arrested.

He added that their constituency was left with virtually no posters of their presidential candidate.

These war vets are being foolish because since Mugabe has been in power, he has never even talked to them or seen them and he has done nothing for them since he has been in power, instead the war vets got the bread crumbs that fell off Mugabe's table , and they are still getting these bread crumbs ever since Mugabe has been in power. Some of these war vets do not even own a bicycle because they are wallowing in abject poverty yet they support Mugabe and are prepared to behave like barbarians for ZANU PF.. As soon as Mugabe was in power, the war vets became invisible. We see these war vets dressed in torn clothes , torn shoes and their children are not going to school because of lack of money. I saw some of these war vets begging for money to go and buy beer , they spend most of their money on beer ,vachidhakwa stereki because there are no jobs for them. The ZANU PF elite they support never even gives them money or clothes , but you see these foolish men and women behaving like barbarians . Even if they remove posters , MDC T has won!!!!

You see nyaya yokusainda kuchikoro zvainoita. These guys have no idea that their lives could have been much better if Mugabe had managed the country well and put in place the right policies. These idiots think the barren pieces of land they got and the free for all killing of game they are doing is mana from Mugabe, they have known no better and will never know better. Sadly they are destroying their children's future, they will remain peasants like their fathers.

It is a good sign if the so-called war vets through the posters in Devure river. They will end up in the Save river, that is the holy river of Tsvangirai's ancestors, that is why he is called Save. This is a blessing for Save.
